Science Family Night was a great success at Renaissance Charter School in West Palm Beach on Wednesday, January 13. The night was filled with fun experiments, door prizes, and a lovely Science Fair competition. The early evening of fun started with three volunteer judges who evaluated the science projects. The excitement in the children’s eyes was certainly a sight to see. The clear and apparent dedication was placed into every single project and the event was overall inspiring. The scientific community of RCSWPB must congratulate all of the students who have taken the time and effort to participate in their projects and experiments. Each project had a testable question and solution with the proper background research investigated. The hypothesis corresponded with the diverse and multiple sources of the background research. The independent and dependent variables were accurately defined by a majority of students alongside an appropriate list of materials. The amount of quantitative and qualitative data collected was uncanny. Also, the procedure outlined in the projects described the investigation flawlessly and the conclusion based on the analysis of the data determined a success and an acceptance of the original hypothesis tested.
Simultaneously, the middle school showcased the few projects that caught the attention and esteem of the judges. We wish all the winners “Good Luck” at the Regional Science Fair that is taking place on Saturday February 13th at RCS at Summit. All of the science projects submitted and displayed paid homage to the scientific community and the event was so delightful that next year’s Science Fair will be another triumph!
